An appealing tree, both the young shoot growth and autumn leaves are an intense yellow making this a good all seasons tree. Although fast growing, it can be pruned hard (coppiced or pollarded) to control its size and enhance the beautiful golden yellow shoots in the winter. Golden ash thrives in most soils and can tolerate, windswept, exposed sites, coastal locations and air pollution. This tree is supplied at a height of between 1.5 and 1.8m in a 12L container for year round planting and better results than from bare-root or rootballed stock. Message card included at no additional cost if required. Just add the information required on the card at checkout.
All ornamental trees (not vines) are topped at 1.3 metres to encourage a natural ornamental tree shape with obvious exceptions e.g. patio sizes. This means that your tree was pruned during the growing process and then allowed to grow to the size it is now supplied at.
