Introduced in New Zealnd in 1924, Kidd's Orange Red  (Malus domestica 'Kidd's Orange Red') is a cross of the apple varieties Cox's Orange Pippin and Delicious .  Its apples have a sweet, crisp and aromatic  taste, with a good balance of sugar and acidity. A good Cox alternative.
