Desired quantity:

A native North American Oak, Red Oak is a real shower of colour in Autumn. One of the most vigourously growing oaks with dark green, finely lobed leaves which change to a glorious colour spectrum of red, yellow and brown before falling during autumn. Not only is this an attractive tree but it also deserves particular merit in its ability to cope with difficult site conditions, however a lime-free soil is a necessity. Again, as with our other oaks, this tree is suited to a large garden and will attain a final height of some 32m (106ft). Scarlet Oak is a very similar oak to Red Oak, however, quite a bit smaller, in oak terms!

Red Oak (Quercus rubra) is supplied at a height of between 1.25m in a 7L container, which means that the tree has an already established root system and therefore this tree can be planted any time of the year and with better results than either bare-root or rootballed trees.

Should you require more than one tree then you may want to look at our WHOLESALE OAK TREE section where a single tree from a pack of 100 costs around 82p. Click OAK HEDGING for the obvious hedging section or we even have Oak trees as an OAK TREE GIFT BOX.

Ornamental Tree Topping

All ornamental trees (not vines) are topped at 1.3 metres to encourage a natural ornamental tree shape with obvious exceptions e.g. patio sizes. This means that your tree was pruned during the growing process and then allowed to grow to the size it is now supplied at.
