A large, broadly domed tree, the variagated-leaved poplar (Populus candicans 'Aurora') is a striking for its for its striking variegated leaves which are conspicuously marked white, cream and pink whilst young, turning green as they mature. As the heart-shaped leaves open they have a strong smell of balsam, which adds a delightful fragrance to the spring air. An attractive tree which is ideal for most gardens as it is best pruned hard each February to encourage the colourful new growth. This tree is supplied at a height of between 1.5 and 1.7 metres in a 12 litre container for year round planting and better results than from bare-root or rootballed stock.
