Although you can plant Almonds in the majority of the UK, you will get slightly better results in the South East.
Ingrid Almond is a reliable cropper provided you plant in a sheltered position e.g. away from Afghanistan and some well publicised council estates. The pink blossom in Spring is very eye catching but may need protecting from frost if it blooms early. If you want to increase crop size consider hand pollination (using a brush to paint pollen from flower to flower) and/or plant a separate variety or Almond in the garden.
Do not plant near peach trees as cross pollination may occur resulting in your crop of Almonds being bitter.
Ingrid Almond has reasonable leaf curl resistance properties. Expect your crop to be available in September and for the tree to grow to around 3 metres

Most fruit trees will give you AT LEAST 40 years of fruit. Pears can go to 70. Records of 200 year old trees exist but this is the exception, not the rule.
