An old English apple variety, Egremont Russet (Malus domestica 'Egremont Russet') was introduced in the 19th Century, in Sussex and is renowned for its sweet taste, a firm texture with a rich nutty flavour.  The flesh of Egremont Russet apples are a creamy-yellow colour.  One of the few russet varieties available in quantity.
