Golden Delicious (Malus domestica 'Golden Delicious') is a well-known crisp eating apple, with a sweet honey taste.  Introduced from the United States of America in the 19th Century, Golden Delicious apples are characterised by their greenish-yellow colour which turns gold.  The flavour of home-grown apples is superior to imported fruit.
