Jubilee Plum Tree

Introduced in 1985, Jubilee (Prunus domestica 'Jubilee') is the result of a cross between the plum varieties Victoria x Czar. A plum of superb eating quality, Jubilee is similar in appearance and flavour to Victoria, but much with the bonus of larger fruit, and picks one week earlier. A strong growing tree, recommended on Pixy rootstock. A self-fertile plum, therefore only one plum tree is required for pollination.

Month of Picking: Mid-AugustType of Plum: Eating

Fertility: This plum is self-fertile so will produce fruit if planted on its own.

This plum is in flowering period C3 and will act as a suitable pollination partner for non self-fertile plums in the flowering periods C2, C3 and C4.

This variety of plum tree is supplied in a 7-12 litre container, which means that the tree can be planted any time of the year and with better results than either bare-root or rootballed trees.

Please choose which root stock you require from the drop down list below.

Final heights can also be controlled by container size or pruning.

What Our Customers Are Saying About Our Jubilee Plum Trees.
Good service, good packaging, charming trees. Ralph cresswell cresswell builders 0519

Our new tree is perfect, a really good shape and a good 5ft planted. Delivery was very quick and packaging superb, I've never had a live plant that was so carefully packaged. This will be my first place to come if I need a tree in the future. H. Elton 0319. Jubilee Plum VVA1/Pixy

Thank for the Jubilee Plum on Julien A which has just arrived. The packaging and delivery were excellent with the tree arriving in fantastic condition. The tree was of such high quality and in outstanding condition, that I would have been hard pressed to choose a better one myself. You did all this within a few days of Christmas. Your service and plants have been exceptional. Many thanks Jonathan Hutchinson (Rev Dr) 1217

Dear Alan, Thank you for your email. We planted the trees yesterday. They look very good and also very healthy. The Jubilee is an especially lovely shape. I am particularly looking forward to when the Quince starts fruiting, though I realise it may be a couple of years. We have put a dripper system on them so hopefully they will flourish. Anyhow very happy with the purchase, and they look really healthy. Arrived well packed. Best wishes Andrew G.

Recieved the tree in very good condition well packaged, now planted in its new location and looking forward to its fruits for many years. Very happy with how healthy the tree looks. Many thanks trees online for a fantastic service I am very impressed. Andy Georgiou

Important Plum Tree information

Plum fruit trees may not winter well if left in their containers and may die so you need to plant as soon as you get them especially if purchased between October and March. Keeping them protected in a heated conservatory or green house should solve this issue if you are not going to plant them.

Mirabelle Plum Pollination
Technically speaking it is possible to use Mirabelle plum trees to pollinate standard plum trees but has more risk than using a standard plum tree. If your plum tree is self-fertile, this of course is not an issue.

Fruit Tree Life Expectancy
Most fruit trees will give you AT LEAST 40 years of fruit. Pears can go to 70. Records of 200 year old trees exist but this is the exception, not the rule.

Do I Need To Stake My Bare Root Fruit Tree?
Most of the time, the answer will be no, especially if under 200cm tall. However our article on Tree Staking should help guide you.

Planting In The Corner Of A Garden
Air and light is reduced in this location which could promote fungus and bacterial issues. Corners of houses and fences can also suffer leeching issues so we advise against it.
