Red Devil (Malus domestica 'Red Devil') was introduced in 1979 and is the result of crossing the apple varieties Discovery x Kent. An outstanding garden apple variety with a deep scarlet skin and red stained flesh when fully ripe. Its superb fruity strawberry flavour is a real attraction. The juice from the apple makes a fantastic pink juice. It carries excellent disease resistance, especially important now with wetter, humid summers. Named after the ‘Red Devil' parachute display team, it is an ideal for all areas of the United Kingdom.

Wet Ground
If you have wet conditions then choose a PEAR TREE first, followed by APPLE TREES. They don't prefer it but will tolerate water, H2O or liquid better, depending which one you have most of!
General Fruit Tree Life Expectancy
Most fruit trees will give you AT LEAST 40 years of fruit. Pears can go to 70. Records of 200 year old trees exist but this is the exception, not the rule.
