Our Early Transparent Gage tree is unusual in that you can see light through it. Not enough so that you can replace your double glazing with the fruits of your Gage tree but enough that a strong light source can penetrate through.
Considered one of the best of the yellow Gages because of sweet taste and compact habit. For those not in gardening circles, this means it does not take over your growing space, it has no Imperialist qualities to dominate your garden and claim square metres in the name of the Republic of Early Transparent.
The Gage flesh is yellow with crimson spots and/or an attractive red cheek.
Our Early Transparent Gage tree is considered a regular cropper under normal conditions. Whatever normal is after the summer of 2012 is anyones guess. It is also good for making into jams or other cooking requirements.

Self-fertile/Not self-fertile: This gage is self-fertile so there is no need for another gage for pollination and therefore produce fruit.

Usually air and light is reduced and if it is a corner with a wooden fence and the house then leeching from both could compound issues. Try to avoid.
1 Year Maiden Bare Root Trees
If you plant a 1 Year maiden tree and do not prune it at all, it will grow a little more upright and have more clear stem.
