Trees Online is a UK tree retailer that first went online in 2015, supplying trees, hedging, fruit trees, ornamental trees, mature specimen trees and artificial trees to customers across the UK.

We try to make buying trees online clearer and more reliable by giving customers practical information about tree size, pot size, rootstock, form, delivery, planting and aftercare before they order.

How Trees Online Works

Trees Online is a retailer, not a single growing nursery. We work with established growers, specialist nurseries and wholesale suppliers across the UK and Europe. This allows us to offer a wide range of trees, from young 1-year-old trees through to large mature 35cm+ girth specimens.

Our suppliers include names such as Frank P Matthews, Majestic Trees, Barcham Trees and Van den Berk Nurseries, alongside other specialist growers, nurseries and wholesale suppliers across the UK and Europe.

This collection of growers and suppliers gives customers access to a much wider choice of trees throughout the year than a single nursery could usually offer.

Many trees are dispatched directly from our partner nurseries and suppliers. This helps reduce unnecessary handling and allows plants to move from the supplier to the customer as efficiently as possible.

How We Choose Suppliers

Our experience helps us choose suppliers based on plant quality, reliability, range, plant health standards, specialist knowledge and delivery performance. We work with growers, nurseries and wholesalers that can supply the right trees, in the right form, with clear product details and reliable dispatch.

Our "like list" is always developing. We keep working with suppliers we trust, and we continue looking for good suppliers that help us expand into more ranges.

We use supplier expertise where specialist growing, variety, rootstock, size, sourcing or plant-health knowledge is needed.

Before dispatch, all teams check trees for quality, condition, suitability for transport and correct order details. Trees are packed by the supplying nursery according to their size, type and delivery method. Whether the order is a box of 50 small plants or a truck carrying 1 mature tree, everything is inspected before sending out. 

If a supplier does not meet the standard we expect for quality, accuracy or delivery reliability, we stop using them.

Clear Product Information

We aim to give customers the important buying details before they order. Where relevant, our product pages include information such as pot size, supplied height, rootstock, supplied form, final height, flowering time, cropping season, pollination needs and planting advice.

Product information and advice on Trees Online is prepared using authorative data, horticultural references, RHS information, official plant-health guidance and relevant research organisations where appropriate.

Free Delivery and Customer Support

We help with practical questions about orders, delivery, damaged trees, planting, aftercare and variety information. We cannot provide full garden design advice, but we can give general guidance and signpost customers towards suitable groups of trees where possible.

If a tree arrives damaged, customers should contact us within 2 days of delivery and include clear photos of the plant, the damage and the packaging so the issue can be assessed quickly.

Plant Health and Traceability

Trees Online works with APHA-registered and authorised nursery suppliers. Where plant passports are required, they are issued by the authorised nursery supplier at batch or consignment level and accompany the delivery. We keep internal traceability records linking each order to the supplying nursery and relevant plant passport details. Our APHA Professional Operator Registration CRN is 153998.

What To Expect When Buying Trees Online

Trees are living plants, so their appearance can vary by season, batch, variety and supplier. We try to be as clear and transparent as possible by showing useful product details, realistic supplied information and product photos where available.

Product photos may show supplied trees, mature examples, fruit, blossom, leaves or seasonal features, depending on what is most useful for the customer. Supplied height, pot size, rootstock and supplied form are usually the most reliable buying details.
