Our cheap 1-year-old cell grown plants are one of the easiest, fastest and lowest-risk ways to establish snowberry hedging, and they can be planted for most of the year. They require less digging than bare-root alternatives, while the low price makes it practical to order around 10% extra and pot them up as replacements for any future gaps.
Snowberry bushes are strong-growing deciduous plants that spread to create dense cover, making them useful for informal boundaries, shaded areas and difficult planting sites. These adaptable snowberry shrubs grow in sun, partial shade or full shade, tolerate a wide range of soils, produce small pink summer flowers and develop clusters of distinctive white berries that can remain into winter. Their suckering habit helps the hedge saplings fill out quickly but can also be controlled by removing unwanted shoots.
