Our cheap 1-year-old cell grown plants are one of the easiest, fastest and lowest-risk ways to establish privet hedging, and they can be planted for most of the year. They require less digging than bare-root alternatives, while the low price makes it practical to order around 10% extra and pot them up as replacements for any future gaps.
These privet plants give you a choice between native Wild Privet and the faster-growing Oval Leaf variety. Ligustrum ovalifolium hedging is tough, dense, semi-evergreen and particularly useful for screening, wind protection, coastal gardens and polluted urban sites. Both varieties clip neatly into a compact boundary, making them practical privet screening plants for creating a dependable privet privacy hedge without demanding complicated care.
