150+cm: 1-2 year maiden, 150-200cm tall at delivery
Ingrid Almond is a reliable cropper provided you plant in a sheltered position. These do not include tax, bus or nuclear bomb shelters.
The pink blossom in Spring is very eye-catching but may need protecting from frost if it blooms early.
If you want to increase crop size consider hand pollination (using a brush to paint pollen from flower to flower) and/or plant a separate variety or Almond in the garden.
Do not plant near peach trees as cross-pollination may occur resulting in your crop of Almonds being bitter.
Ingrid Almond has reasonable leaf curl resistance properties.
Expect your crop to be available in September and for the tree to grow to around 3 metres
Considered to be self-fertile but another Almond tree planted close by may improve crop.
Currently delivered as a 1 year maiden so will need formative pruning before Spring.

Do I Need To Stake My Bare Root Tree?
Usually no, especially if under 200cm tall. Our article on Tree Staking should help guide you.
Planting In The Corner Of A Garden
Usually air and light is reduced and if it is a corner with a wooden fence and the house then leeching from both could compound issues. Try to avoid.
1 Year Maiden Bare Root Trees
If you plant a 1 Year maiden tree and do not prune it at all, it will grow a little more upright and have more clear stem.

Planting In The Corner Of A Garden
Air and light is reduced in this location which could promote fungus and bacterial issues. Corners of houses and fences can also suffer leeching issues so we advise against it.
