Black Swan Weeping Purple or Copper Beech Tree

A medium height tree with a height of up to 6 metres (20 feet) after 10 years, Black Swan (fagus sylvatica 'Black Swan') is a good weeping purple beech. It is more compact and with deeper red purple foliage than any other form. Leaves open brown and then go almost black within a few weeks.

What Our Customers Are Saying About Our Black Swan Weeping Purple or Copper Beech Tree
Good afternoon Alan, All your efforts have paid off and the *Fagus sylvatica Black Swan copper beech tree has arrived safe and sound, not lost in transit nor translation! Many, many thanks to you and your team, Ted and Rose King 0820-24649

Excellent! Totally brightened my day, I am reliably informed by the tree receivers that it was delivered in a timely fashion, the driver was helpful though not a comedian. Mum & dad planted the specimen with Dad's bandaged carpal tunnel, and tell me it is a "fine specimen indeed" so there you go- I will attempt to sneak a photo of them with said tree over Christmas but they are both a little camera shy Thanks very much- quick, efficient- funny-would use you again! 1214

Arrived a day early, in good condition, even the courier chap was helpful and cheery, very happy customer Thanks. B Roberts 0812

Ornamental Tree Roots In The Shade e.g. Behind A Fence
It is more important that that foliage (posh term for leaves) receives the sunlight than the roots. So if the canopy of your ornamental tree can sunbathe but the bottom of your tree thinks there has been a nuclear winter then that is ok. You might want to ensure you have good drainage as water and no sun is the start of algae and other such issues.

Do I Need To Stake My Ornamental Tree?
Our article on Tree Staking should help guide you.

Planting In The Corner Of A Garden
Air and light is reduced in this location which could promote fungus and bacterial issues. If the corner is of the house and a fence then you also have leeching issues to contend with from cement and wood preservatives. Also when it rains, that area would experience higher water levels so we advise against it unless the plant is very hardy.
