Euonymus europaeus is a vigorous spreading deciduous shrub that may eventually develop into a small common spindle tree. Its green leaves turn pink or red in autumn, while small greenish-white flowers are followed by distinctive four-lobed pink fruit that opens to reveal orange seeds.
