Their contained roots lower failure risk, while walnut seedlings for sale are affordable enough to order around 10% extra to pot on as spares. Walnut trees develop broad crowns, pinnate foliage, spring catkins and nuts. English walnut seedlings and black walnut seedlings become substantial trees, so final spacing matters. Young walnut trees are easier to position and handle than older stock.
