We won't send any from the nursery that we know has die-back but sometimes this occurs during long transit times e.g. from EU suppliers. Rainbow (Cornus florida 'Rainbow') is a handsome North American Flowering Dogwood variety. Of particular interest are its colourful yellow marginal leaves. Its flowers are a delightful white colour. Like other dogwood varieties, Rainbow exhibits really dramatic autumn colours.

What Our Customers Are Saying About Our Cornus Florida Rainbow Trees Hi Alan, My little Cornus Flo ‘Rainbow’ tree has arrived safely and is a lovely, healthy-looking specimen. Thank you so much, it’s such a long time ago I ordered it I had almost forgotten about it and now I will have to reconsider where to plant it but that’s a nice problem! Ros Conway 0919 Thank you for the trees which arrived safely and in very good condition. Delighted with the height of the trees which will look very good against my new fencing. Would not hesitate to buy other type of trees from your company. Regards, Viorica Swift 0812
Ornamental Tree Roots In The Shade e.g. Behind A FenceIt is more important that that foliage (posh term for leaves) receives the sunlight than the roots. So if the canopy of your ornamental tree can sunbathe but the bottom of your tree thinks there has been a nuclear winter then that is ok. You might want to ensure you have good drainage as water and no sun is the start of algae and other such issues.Do I Need To Stake My Ornamental Tree? Our article on Tree Staking should help guide you.
Planting In The Corner Of A GardenAir and light is reduced in this location which could promote fungus and bacterial issues. If the corner is of the house and a fence then you also have leeching issues to contend with from cement and wood preservatives. Also when it rains, that area would experience higher water levels so we advise against it unless the plant is very hardy.
